This is me. My name is Jonathan, but everyone in my life calls me Jono. It’s pronounced like U2’s frontman, Bono. This makes sense because Bono’s real name is Bonathan.

So, what's my story?

I’m a maker. A maker with a passion for and success in fast-tracking brands into culture by way of innovative content and media partnerships. I know that traditional advertising and marketing tactics just don’t cut it anymore, and with 20 years of experience in entertainment, marketing, creative, production, branded content and partnerships, I help lead brands through the complexity of a quickly evolving platform and media landscape.

As VP Creative Director of Content and Brand Partnerships at Leo Burnett, I create impactful media and strategy-led linear, social, digital and experiential content campaigns and consumer experiences. I collaborate with agency strategy, investment, creative and production teams, as well as top media companies, platforms and publishers to lead and manage relationships, content partnerships, creative development and production.

From concept to completion, I know what it takes to delight a client with strong, purposeful, brand-building, business-driving, award-winning, culture-forward, multi-platform content and experiences that consumers love.

Prior to Leo Burnett, I was the VP Director of Content and Content Partnerships at Starcom, creating consumer experiences for clients including Kellogg’s, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Samsung, Beam Suntory, Kraft Heinz and Red Bull. Hitting rewind a little more, I was the Director of Studio Production at We Are Unlimited/DDB. There, I built and led the in-house creative content production studio, helping to create best in class social and digital content for all of McDonald's national business. Before that, I built and ran the content studio at Y&R Chicago and Cavalry as their Senior Producer and in-house director.

I've also worked as a creative, writer, producer, director, editor and content creator for national television networks including Esquire NetworkG4, E!, and Style Network.

On a personal note, I really love pizza, and tacos, and art, and photography, and filmmaking, and music, and music videos, and TV, and nature, and powerful bodies of water, and fixing things, and grilling, and my family, and good friends, and a nice cocktail, and laughing until I cry, and the traits of humility, and empathy, and leading by example, and the belief that there is no stronger force on earth than simple kindness.

I do, however, have mixed feelings about cilantro.
